TGIF Challenge & Rooted in Nature

I have been scrapbooking for a long time (like over 15 years type of long time).  Years ago I was all over the place completing challenges here and there and loved every minute of it.  I find challenges super inspiring and they really get you using the products you have as opposed to those products just decorating your scrap room.

Now I have known for a long time that there were amazing challenge blogs out there for card making and even ones focused on Stampin' Up! but I've never looked into it  Strange I know, I have poked around and found a few blogs I'm really interested in following.  I decided to participate in the challenges they post and get back into having the fun I used to have.

So first up is the blog TGIF Challenges!  here's a pic of the sketch challenge they have on this week (deadline to enter is Thursday, May 17, 2018 - 10:00 am PST)

Loved this sketch and thought it was perfect to use with the new bundle Rooted in Nature coming out in Stampin' Up's new annual catalog on June 1, 2018.

I used inspiration from some cards I saw using this set on Pinterest (my fav place to go for inspiration).  Here's what I came up with:

What I used:

1. Rooted in Nature Bundle;
2. Blueberry Bushel (New in colour and one of my fav Stampin' Up! colours);
3. Crumb Cake cardstock;
4. Wood textures designer series paper;
5. Linen Thread; and
6. Leaves Trinkets

I love making a card and focusing on one colour, it shows how versatile our products can be and that you don't have to have every ink colour.
